O-I Glass ($OI) Q2 2026 Earnings Analysis — Adjusted EPS of $0.09 Misses Estimates by a Wide Margin; Full-Year Guidance Lowered
Glass bottle manufacturer O-I Glass ($OI) reported Q2 2026 revenue of $1.668 billion and adjusted EPS of $0.09. Both figures fell short of market expectations (EPS of $0.24, revenue of $1.68 billion). On a GAAP basis, the quarter included an $873 million goodwill impairment charge, resulting in a $972 million net loss ($6.33 per share). The Americas segment posted a 22% rise in operating profit and was a bright spot, but Europe essentially collapsed to breakeven, which proved to be the decisive drag. The company lowered its 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance to $1.0–1.1 billion and its 2027 target to $1.2–1.3 billion, and shares fell roughly 14% in after-hours trading immediately following the release.
