- 2The 12-month inflation rate at the start of July came in at 3.10%, down from 3.55% the previous month. This was below the Reuters forecast of 3.12% and marked the lowest level since late 2020.
- 3Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, fell to 3.95%, returning to the Bank of Mexico's target range of 3% plus or minus 1 percentage point. The central bank held its benchmark interest rate at 6.5% last month.
