The Complete 2026 Guide to U.S. Dividend Aristocrats

2026년 4월 11일

Complete list of all 69 Dividend Aristocrats—S&P 500 members that have raised their dividends for 25 or more consecutive years. Includes sector breakdown, dividend yield rankings, and a comparison with the NOBL ETF at a glance.

"You've probably heard the term 'Dividend Aristocrats.' But if you're being honest, aren't you a little fuzzy on what actually sets them apart?" — With similar-sounding labels like Dividend Kings, Champions, and Achievers floating around, it's easy to get lost. Here's the bottom line: Dividend Aristocrats are S&P 500 members that have raised their dividends for 25 or more consecutive years. As of 2026, there are exactly 69 of them.

What makes Dividend Aristocrats special is the "S&P 500 membership" requirement. To be included in the S&P 500, a company has to clear strict hurdles on market cap, liquidity, profitability, and more. So Dividend Aristocrats aren't simply long-time dividend payers — they are large-cap, blue-chip companies that have also steadily grown their dividends year after year.

While our Dividend Kings guide covered companies with 50+ years of dividend hikes, this article compiles all 69 Dividend Aristocrats under the somewhat broader but still rigorous standard of 25+ consecutive years plus S&P 500 membership.

1. What Are Dividend Aristocrats?

Dividend Aristocrats is an index officially maintained by S&P Dow Jones Indices. Where the Dividend Kings label emerged organically from the investment community, the Dividend Aristocrats have an actual index — the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index — and an ETF (NOBL) that tracks it.

Three conditions must be met for inclusion:

① S&P 500 Constituent — Must meet market cap, liquidity, and profitability criteria
② 25+ Years of Consecutive Dividend Increases — Must raise the dividend every single year without a miss
③ Liquidity Threshold — Must meet a minimum trading volume requirement

S&P rebalances the index each year at the end of January. In January 2025, three new names — ERIE, ES, and FDS — were added, with no removals, bringing the total to 69.
